Healthy Mental Traits

A person’s physical health is easy to see but mental health is not the case. But surely those mental and physical health are intertwined. When one of them is disrupted, the other is distracted. The characteristics of a person with a healthy mentality exist as follows:

  1. Not judging yourself

People who suffer from mental illness, those who suffer from depression and anxiety, usually feel they can heal themselves easily, which is why they always judge themselves for suffering from mental illness.

But if someone has a healthy mentality, they value themselves more. He is fair to himself and those around him.

  1. Not having negative emotions

A mentally healthy person is able to control his emotions well. Facing these negative emotions is not easy, but it is already part of everyday life. Thus, if we do not have a healthy mental state, we find it more difficult to control our emotions and overcome the suffering we feel when faced with unpleasant situations.

  1. Do not experience insomnia problems

When a person is mentally unhealthy, he will have trouble sleeping. Though sleep is very important in every individual. Sleep can increase lifespan by up to 11 years. The amount of sleep required by each individual is different. But most individuals need 6 to 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep to be able to work optimally.
If someone has trouble sleeping, then it will have a negative side effect on his body. Among the side effects of sleep deprivation are body discomfort, difficulty focusing on work, weak immune system, even depression which are all characteristics and consequences of mental illness.

  1. Able to focus well

A healthy mental state enables the individual to concentrate on what he is doing. Without a healthy mentality, an individual cannot focus on a job that requires concentration and peace of mind.

  1. Have good social relationships with others.

People who have a healthy mentality are generally adaptable or have good relationships with people around them, such as with the closest family, work partners, neighbors, and society in general.

While people who have mental illness will have problems in social relationships because they are unable to control their own feelings. He is always worried about what others think of him, always selfish and thinks others are all wrong, difficult to admit his own mistakes and easily has feelings of hatred and resentment.

This mental illness makes him always have a bad relationship with the people around him. To solve this problem, he must first cure his mental illness.

  1. A mentally healthy person does not have troubling symptoms such as:
    Fatigue
    Spine, chest pain
    Fast heart rate
    Dry mouth
    Digestive problems
    Headache
    Perspire
    Drastic changes in body weight

Let’s take good care of our mental health so that we are able to live an increasingly challenging life today.

Confuse Them With Your SilenceΒ

Confuse them with your silence. It seems most times the problem we have with ourselves as humans is the is the problem of saying what is not yet ready to be put forth. We all seem to have this problem and most times, there are countless reasons why we do this to make people know that we are somebody who also has his own worth.

We try to make ourselves look big, try to talk others down and sometimes gain some respect aggressively, some like godlike reverence to ourselves. We are ready to say everything that can be said to have a stand on a position that is of worth and make per see us as important too.

And in the process, we say more than we actually should. Have you ever thought of the importance of silence? Have you ever thought of the reason why you have been given two lips and a brain to think? The main reason is for you to know by reasoning the right time to talk and the right time to not to. To be able to envisage when our words are needed to be heard, or when we are to be silent. Even when the situation and circumstances around us seemingly want us to speak out.

Life can be a bit complicated and demanding, it can throw you off balance and give you no reason to be illogical. However, since you have no control over many situations, you do have control over your own life. Look at yourself more than you look and meditate on others. Saying too much is providing an arsenal for you to get hurt with your words.

Being mysterious on the other hand, make people go the extra mile to be your friend. You don’t want to give them any ammunition to attack. Be still in your conversation and thoughts and keep the people around you guessing. Keep them wondering and looking over their shoulder for you.

They will yell at you if you do nothing, you say nothing, they will come calling on you when you do not want. Stay calm, say nothing. You aren’t doing them a favor, you are doing yourself a a favor. Hearing nothing from you, will give them much to think about when they want to approach you. You become ‘that guy’ or ‘that girl’ that make them feel unsure of themselves.

Your silence disrupts their confidence. It breaks their flow of thought regarding you. They just don’t know how to get to you anymore. You don’t give them any means or reason to. Its like a man who goes to a party with his friends and doesn’t dance. No one is going to laugh at his dance moves. Why? Because he hasn’t danced. They will coming up with ways to define you just because you never provided them any.

Instead of you trying to give reasons as to why you better and why they are wrong, why not just keep quiet and steadily work towards your dream? Bearing in mind that you have a goal better than the circumstances around you. We have heard the popular expressions :”silence is the best response to a fool”. The people around you do necessary need to be proven as fools because the whole essence of going down your particular path is for you own sake.

Why don’t you keep the confused by silence. Keep them entirely thinking about you while you stay focused on your goals. Nobody is you and that’s what makes you difference.

The moment you start bearing in mind, nobody knows anything about you is the moment you begin to understand that talking to convince people about who you are doesn’t really work. You don’t need to tell them who you are, let them find out. Don’t give them exactly what they need to say about you. Let them play the guessing game.

You do not necessarily need to respond to anything they say if they intend to draw out some negative reaction from you. Just leave them in silence and let your actions do the talking. Smile on and confuse them with your choice of saying nothing. All you required to do is listen, listen and let them seek your voice. Let them find it hard to figure you out. What’s more fun and giving people virtually nothing revealing about you while you live your life to the fullest.

SHEEP KNOW THEIR SHEPHERD

A dog that is well cared for by its master, fed, bathed, taken for a walk, will usually be a loyal dog. If his master comes home on a motorbike, then from a distance the dog will bark loudly because he wants to immediately greet his master who has arrived. The dog knows his master very well, even from a distance he can recognize his arrival and shows his excitement to meet his master.

The relationship between the shepherd and his sheep is also very close, because the shepherd leads his sheep to green grass and protects his sheep from wolves that could attack them. The shepherd knows his sheep, so if even one is missing, he will look for the lost and lost sheep. Meanwhile, the sheep also know the shepherd’s voice and follow him.

Jesus is the good Shepherd who is willing to sacrifice for His sheep. What about us as His sheep, do we know His voice? Of course we must have closeness to the Shepherd so that we can be sensitive to hearing His voice and following His guidance.

Everything Is Beautiful In Time

I asked God for a fresh flower but He gave me a thorny cactus.

I asked God for a cute, beautiful animal, but He gave me a hairy caterpillar.

I’m sad and disappointed… why is God’s gift not according to my request? Maybe God has too many people to take care of.

But some time later, the cactus flowered very beautifully.

The caterpillar grew and turned into a very beautiful butterfly.

I am also happy because I have beautiful flowers and beautiful butterflies.

God always does everything right. God’s way is the best way, even though it seems wrong. If we ask for something but receive something else from God, believe me, God will definitely give us what we ask for in its time.

God doesn’t always give us what we ask for, but He gives us what we need. Such is God’s way. He paints the best things for us. Everything is beautiful in its time.

Today’s thorns are tomorrow’s flowers. Sometimes starting something is very difficult but trust everything in God. What we can do is to start doing it right now and surrender completely to God because God knows what is best for us.

β€œFor I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for peace and not for harm, to give you a future full of hope.”

Stay Strong

None of us is immune to problems. Whatever our status or rank, there are no exceptions. Problems, hardship, suffering are part of everyday life and that is the pride of human life. However, we must not give up and despair, because the trials you experience are ordinary trials, which do not exceed human strength. For God is faithful and therefore He will not allow you to be tempted beyond your strength. When you are tempted He will give you a way out, so that you can endure it.

It’s not about big or small, heavy or light, the problem we face, the most important thing is how we response when dealing with the problem itself. Desperate, discouraged, giving up halfway is an attitude that must be avoided because it will actually sink us further into the abyss of deep problems. To win over problems, we need to have an attitude that never gives up and a spirit that never fades.

A spirited person can endure suffering, but who will restore a broken spirit?

Believe In YourselfΒ

Your brain is like a circuit switch. Once you believe you are something, you actually embody it,you embody that feeling.

If you were God forbid in coma then you woke up and you didn’t really have a memory. Then you were told you used to be a Navy Seal and they want you back now when you’re healthy. Do you think you’d act differently and hold yourself differently, conduct yourself different and have a different self concept of who you are. Than if you were told that you were a piano instructor.

Being successful in life is all about having the proper belief system in who you are. Truly believing that you were something unique. That you were something special in that field.

If you truly believe inside of you that you are one of the best actors in the world, you will be entirely different than if you’re like ‘I hope I’m good’. You expression will be totally different. You tone of voice, you talk in a more convincing fashion. You’ll use your natural voice instead of a scripted one. You will be more emphatic, you will be more real, more relatable.

Our brain is like a circuit. So if we introduce it with proper wire, you are gonna straight to your target. If you unsure about who you are, the your dreams, your goals, they will never become a reality.

Everyone has mental doubts in life, internal conflict. Even the most successful people that you look up to. But they don’t live their. It’s how you handle those negative thoughts in that exact moment, and overwhelm them with positive action. That comes with this up most confidence in yourself that can handle this situation. Trust in yourself that you are better than the moment.

The great think differently, the great see differently, the great have a different worldview. The great, they approach the game in a totally different way. So you need to think about what you’re thinking about when you effort is low. Because if you can get this, you can get any succes you want in life. You can have anything you want in life.

The next time you give a low effort, you give a 70 percent or 50 percent or 30 percent, you need to think about what you’re thinking about when you’re effort is low. If effort is low, you are probably not thinking about the opportunity. You probably not thinking about the obligation.

Everytime you woke up, you should say “I’m alive! This is the day!”. This is an opportunity. If you want what you have never had before, if you wanna do what you have never done before, if you wanna be what you have never been before, change your mentality.

Sail Towards The Shore Of Hope

A boat capable of bearing weight, made of the finest wood, and with dashing sails ready to brave the wind. But no matter how great and dashing a boat is created, it is useless if it is only tied to a rope and moored on the pier. He must sail through the ocean, break through storms and find the shore of hope.

We are that boat. The pier is our past. That tether is our fear and regret. Do not waste all the power bestowed on us. Don’t let the past anchor us there. Release ourselves from fear and regret. Set sail!

What separates boats from the shore of hope are hurricanes, storms, waves and rocks. What separates us from success is a challenging issue. That’s where the mark of authenticity is tested. The essence of a boat is to sail through all obstacles. The essence of ourselves is to work to find happiness.

Remember not the things of old, and pay no attention to the things of antiquity! Look, I’m going to make something new, which has grown now, don’t you know it yet? Yes, I want to make a way in the wilderness and the rivers of the wilderness.-Isaiah4318

Sharpen Yourself

A staple logger must regularly sharpen his axe so that it does not dull. A hunter must retighten his bowstring before use. A writer should routinely knit his pencils. They have to update their equipment. This is a simple principle about productivity.

There are not many trees that can be cut down by a blunt axe. No game can be conquered by an old bow. No word can be written from a broken pencil.

So with that, we must hone ourselves to keep achieving a full and abundant life. We have a body figure that must be old eroded by age. Also intelligence that may be left behind due to the progress of the times. And a fist of conscience that is easily blurred by the dust of the world.

Therefore, we must take care of the body so that it is always a comfortable home for the soul. We need to hone our minds and skills so that they can always be used to open the door to prosperity. Also, we must sharpen the conscience that allows us to hear this song of happiness of life.

Point Of View

Once a mother asked her eldest son to go buy a bottle of oil at a shop.

On the way home from buying oil, the eldest fell. The oil in the bottle spilled in half.

β€œMom, I fell down and spilled half a bottle of oil,” he said.

The next day, it was the youngest turn whose mother asked him to go buy oil. The same incident repeated.

On the way home the youngest fell and the oil he was carrying spilled in half.

β€œMom, I fell just now. The oil spilled, but I managed to save half of it,” he said.

The eldest and the youngest experienced the same incident, but there is one thing that distinguishes them, and that is the way of view. The eldest sees his experience negatively, while the youngest sees his experience positively.

That was also the case with the twelve spies sent by Moses. They see the same reality. However, they went home with a much different report. The ten scouts saw with pessimistic eyes that the challenges they saw were impossible to overcome. The other two spies, Joshua and Caleb, saw optimistically that with the help of the Almighty God they would be able to overcome all the challenges that lay ahead.

The key is to focus on the positive. Just as the youngest in the story above focused on the half of the oil he saved, Joshua and Caleb also focused on God’s love, inclusion, and care.

What is the reality we are facing today? Try to make a list of what good things are behind it. Then focus our minds and hearts on those good things. The effect will be completely different. What matters is not what happens, but how we respond to it.

One of the factors causing divisions in family life, fellowship, or in society is selfishness. Self-centeredness is also called selfishness, which Webster’s dictionary defines: paying undue or excessive attention to oneself, prioritizing one’s own comfort and benefit without paying attention to, or at the expense of the comfort and benefit of others.

When a person is selfish he will establish himself as a center and no longer care about the interests and feelings of others. This is what is the source of much chaos and evil. Why? Because selfish people find it difficult to work with others as team members in completing a task. Selfish people also tend to be irritable, offended and unable to dominate themselves. β€œStop being angry and leave that heat of heart, don’t be angry, it only leads to evil.”

A selfish person has a tendency to judge and reproach others for considering oneself the most true and never wrong. β€œWell everyone tests his own work; then he can boast of seeing his own condition instead of looking at the situation of others.”

To live more prosperously, we must throw away selfishness so that we do not become a stumbling block to others.

Whatsoever ye would that men should do unto you, do likewise unto them.
