Once there was an island where all the feelings lived together. One day there came a storm in the sea and the island was about to drown. Every feeling was scared. But love made a boat to escape. All the feelings jumped in the boat except for one feeling. Love got down to see who it was. It was ego. Love tried and tried but ego didn’t move.
Everyone asked love to leave ego and come on the boat. But love was meant to love. It remained with the ego. All other feelings were left alive. But love died because of ego.
Moral of the story:
In the stormy waters of life the most powerful lesson is that love knows no bounds but ego can sink even the strongest of the bonds.
A doctor,a lawyer,a little boy and a priest were out for a Sunday afternoon flight on a small private plane.
Suddenly, the plane developed engine trouble. In spite of the best effort of the pilot, the plane started to go down. Finally, the pilot grabbed a parachute and yelled to the passengers that they better jump. And he himself bailed out.
Unfortunately, there were only three parachutes remaining. The doctor grabbed one and said,”I am a doctor,I saved lives,so I must live.” And jumped out.
The lawyer then said,”I am a lawyer and lawyers are the smartest people in the world. I deserve to live.” He also grabbed a parachute and jumped.
The priest looked at the little boy and said,”My son,I have live a long and full life. You are young and have your whole life ahead of you. Take the last parachute and live in peace.” The little boy handed the parachute back to the priest and said,”Not to worry father, the smartest man in the world just took of with my backpack.”
Moral of the story:
Your job doesn’t always define you. But, being a good human being does.
One day, A man decided to travel by ship with his friends. While in the middle of their journey, the boat began to sink. Everyone tried to escape by swimming, but it was all in vain. All drowned except this man who succeeded in clinging to a floating object and reach a small island.
There he built a straw but survived on fruits and herbs. Week passed despair grew. Each night he’d light a fire for a warmth. One night he was awakened by an overwhelming heat. It was his straw hut that caught fire.
He cried accusing and blaming God,shouting “oh God: what have I done to you to hurt me so? You separated me from my family, all friends, and now you let my hut burn. Why are you so hard on me? It’s better to die because I am tired of living in this suffering.”
But at dawn a boat landed on island. He ran straight for the captain and asked him: “captain, how did you get here?” The captain replied: In the night we saw a fire and we thought that you used the fire in order for us to find you.” The man cried fell on his knees and asked God for forgiveness. And he got into the boat and went home and reunited with his family.
Moral of the story:
God has many ways of solving our problems. Do not curse your God even if you suffer. Keep faith and hope. He will act.
Two travelling angels stopped to spend the night in the house of a wealthy family. The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the mansion’s guest room. Instead, the angels were given space in the cold basement.
As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repair it. When the younger angel asked why,the older angel replied, things aren’t always what they seem.
The next night, the pair came to rest at the house of a very poor but very hospitable farmer and his wife. After sharing what little food, the couple let the angels sleep in their bed, where they could have a good night’s rest.
When the sun came up the next morning, the angels found the farmer and his wife in tears. Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income lay dead in the field. The younger angel was infuriated and asked the older angel,”how could you have let this happen?. The first man had everything, yet you helped him.” Younger angel accused. The second family had little but was willing to share everything, and you let the cow die.”
“Things aren’t always what they seem.” The older angel replied. When we stayed in the basement of the mansions, I noticed there was gold, stored in that holenin the wall. Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and unwilling to share his good fortune, I sealed the wall so he would’nt find it. The last night,as we slept in the farmer’s bed,the angel of death came for his wife. I gave him the cow instead.
Things aren’t always what they seem. Sometimes that is exactly what happens when things don’t turn out the way we think it should be.
If you have faith, you just need to trust that every outcome is always to your advantage.
At first the man was disturbed. As usual, on Halloween night children wear strange costumes and come to houses. They are ready to play if the owner of the house wants, or if not, they are simply given candy. Therefore, the person became angry when the children kept coming and shouting, βGame or candy!β
βI will not remain silent!β he cried out to his wife. βIf any kids in weird costumes show up again tonight, they wonβt get anything from me. And if they donβt leave too, Iβll call the police.β
While speaking, his face turned red and his breathing was short. With a look of astonishment his wife looked at him and said, βGeorge, itβs just about candy.β
βItβs just about candy.β That sentence puts the problem in its rightful position. How easy it is to become angry that our rights, possessions, and pleasures are being disturbed, until we are reminded that we have allowed something insignificant to eat away at us.
Jesusβ words sound strange to us: βAnd if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well. If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles. (Matthew 5:40-41). Jesus wants us to respond to those around us in ways that reflect our faith in Him and our commitment to heavenly values.
So much anger can be avoided by simply pausing and saying, βYouβre right, Lord. Itβs just about candy.β
A dog that is well cared for by its master, fed, bathed, taken for a walk, will usually be a loyal dog. If his master comes home on a motorbike, then from a distance the dog will bark loudly because he wants to immediately greet his master who has arrived. The dog knows his master very well, even from a distance he can recognize his arrival and shows his excitement to meet his master.
The relationship between the shepherd and his sheep is also very close, because the shepherd leads his sheep to green grass and protects his sheep from wolves that could attack them. The shepherd knows his sheep, so if even one is missing, he will look for the lost and lost sheep. Meanwhile, the sheep also know the shepherdβs voice and follow him.
Jesus is the good Shepherd who is willing to sacrifice for His sheep. What about us as His sheep, do we know His voice? Of course we must have closeness to the Shepherd so that we can be sensitive to hearing His voice and following His guidance.
I asked God for a fresh flower but He gave me a thorny cactus.
I asked God for a cute, beautiful animal, but He gave me a hairy caterpillar.
Iβm sad and disappointedβ¦ why is Godβs gift not according to my request? Maybe God has too many people to take care of.
But some time later, the cactus flowered very beautifully.
The caterpillar grew and turned into a very beautiful butterfly.
I am also happy because I have beautiful flowers and beautiful butterflies.
God always does everything right. Godβs way is the best way, even though it seems wrong. If we ask for something but receive something else from God, believe me, God will definitely give us what we ask for in its time.
God doesnβt always give us what we ask for, but He gives us what we need. Such is Godβs way. He paints the best things for us. Everything is beautiful in its time.
Todayβs thorns are tomorrowβs flowers. Sometimes starting something is very difficult but trust everything in God. What we can do is to start doing it right now and surrender completely to God because God knows what is best for us.
βFor I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for peace and not for harm, to give you a future full of hope.β
A boat capable of bearing weight, made of the finest wood, and with dashing sails ready to brave the wind. But no matter how great and dashing a boat is created, it is useless if it is only tied to a rope and moored on the pier. He must sail through the ocean, break through storms and find the shore of hope.
We are that boat. The pier is our past. That tether is our fear and regret. Do not waste all the power bestowed on us. Donβt let the past anchor us there. Release ourselves from fear and regret. Set sail!
What separates boats from the shore of hope are hurricanes, storms, waves and rocks. What separates us from success is a challenging issue. Thatβs where the mark of authenticity is tested. The essence of a boat is to sail through all obstacles. The essence of ourselves is to work to find happiness.
Remember not the things of old, and pay no attention to the things of antiquity! Look, Iβm going to make something new, which has grown now, donβt you know it yet? Yes, I want to make a way in the wilderness and the rivers of the wilderness.-Isaiah4318
Injustice everywhere. Thatβs the world. We will never find true justice in this world. There is only justice that is distorted, justice that is bought and sold, and justice that only favors the rich, moneyed, and ranked. What is the fate of the weak and poor? They have always been victims of injustice.
All of us growl like bears, And moan sadly like doves; We hope for justice, but there is none, For salvation, but it is far from us. (Isaiah 59:11). There is no justice in this world, βOnly in the LORD are righteousness and strength. (Isaiah 45:24a), for He is the only the Righteous Judge.
In time, real justice will surely be served! For whatever man does in this world will one day be accountable before God. This is where true justice is revealed, for in judging every person God sees no appearance, no possessions, and no rank. Godβs judgment is absolutely fair without fabrication.
Therefore be careful in every word and deed, for βAnd no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.β (Hebrews 4:13). Every crime and transgression we commit always has consequences.
Never think that everything we do doesnβt have any impact, but instead the crimes we commit against others can boomerang on ourselves: βHis mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate. β (Psalm7: 16).
For those who live right and fear God, there is no need to be afraid to live this life, there is no need to fear the evil or plan evil against us, for it will always be in Godβs defense and protection.
God cannot be fooled with, βFor the LORD is righteous, he loves justice; the upright will see his face. β (Psalm 11:7)
